Vote-by-mail ballots were mailed Monday to more than 80,000 San Luis Obispo County registered voters, who represent more than 55 percent of local voters, according to county Clerk-Recorder Julie Rodewald.
Voters should begin receiving ballots by today, along with a booklet containing candidate statements and arguments for and against local ballot measures.
If a voter is expecting a ballot and has not received it by Friday, Rodewald said, they should contact the elections office at 781-5228.
Voters also can track their ballot by going to the "vote-by-mail status linkup page" at www.slovote.com.
The election is June 5.
