Paper: Visalia Times-Delta (CA)
Title: Vote-by-mail ballots going out next week
Date: October 10, 2008
Author: Staff, Staff reports
Ballots for Tulare County voters who vote by mail were delivered to the postal system Wednesday, the county elections office said.
The ballots had been scheduled to be mailed Monday, but a truck bringing them from an Everett, Wash., printer was involved in an accident and most of the ballots were damaged.
All were reprinted.
Registrar of Voters Rita Woodard said those who need to vote before their ballots arrive can do so at the county elections office, 5951 S. Mooney Blvd., Visalia.
The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Fridays.

Correction: THIS CORRECTION RAN 10/11/2008 Because of an editor's error, a headline in Friday's Times-Delta on a story about vote-by-mail ballots misstated when ballots were being sent out. The ballots were delivered to the post office Wednesday.
