Early Voting

Early voting will be extended through the weekend in Oakland, with extra staff called in to handle the expected surge of voters.

A surprisingly high turnout for early voting in Alameda County prompted the Registrar of Voters office to keep polling open Saturday and Sunday. Early voting will now run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Registrar's office, located in the basement of the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse at 1225 Fallon St.

Voters also can cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday.

For more information about early voting , call the Registrar's office at 510-272-6933.
